Purpose of EKG
heart disease, heart attacks (MI), accident victims, surgery (pre/post-op), cardiac arrest, emergency
management, routine physical exams
Holter Monitoring
An ECG device is worn during a 24-hour period to detect cardiac arrhythmias
patient conducts normal daily activities while keeping a diary, recording significant events and any
associated symptoms (including time)
