Air Operations Area (AOA)

Sterile area
The portion of an airport terminal accessible to the travelling public that is
controlled through the screening of persons and property and provides
passengers access to boarding aircraft.
* Screening checkpoints use badge readers, automated imaging
technology, metal detectors, x-ray machines and other security devices to
screen access of persons and property.
* Only ticketed passengers and DFW Airport badge holders who are
authorized for this area access may enter.
* NOTE: Failure to comply with this area's access requirements may lead to
criminal arrest.
