Throughout your academic career, you will apply critical thinking and writing skills to demonstrate your learning

awareness in your written communication will also be important.
This task consists of two sections.
Review the "Information Literacy: Evaluating Sources" document found under the Web Links section at the bottom of
the page. Then, use the "QUOTA Template" in the Supporting Documents section of this document to complete
Section 1 of this task.
Section One: You will do the following:
• Identify a career role in your degree plan focus.
• Complete the "QUOTA Sources Template" for the two sources provided for you in the taskrequirements. You
will use the resource "Information Literacy: Evaluating Sources" to complete this section. The link for this
resource is provided at the bottom of the page in the Web Links section.
• Evaluate the sources using the QUOTA (qualified, up-to-date, objective, true, and applicable) criteria.
Section Two: You will do the following:
• Find two to four credible sources related to your chosen career role.
• Compose an evidence-based paper that includes the qualifications and responsibilities of the chosencareer

You will be required to acknowledge sources for all examples, in-text citations, and references. You should review the
resources provided in the course of study and the Academic Coaching Center for support with intext citations and
references.
Note: All references used must be current, within the last five years.
REQUIREMENTS
Your submission must represent your original work and understanding of the course material. Most performance
assessment submissions are automatically scanned through the WGU similarity checker. Students are strongly
encouraged to wait for the similarity report to generate after uploading their work and then review it to ensure
Academic Authenticity guidelines are met before submitting the file for evaluation. See Understanding Similarity
Reports for more information.
Grammarly Note:
Professional Communication will be automatically assessed through Grammarly for Education in most performance
assessments before a student submits work for evaluation. Students are strongly encouraged to review the
Grammarly for Education feedback prior to submitting work for evaluation, as the overall submission will not pass
without this aspect passing. See Use Grammarly for Education Effectively for more information.
Microsoft Files Note:
Write your paper in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) unless another Microsoft product, or pdf, is specified in the task
directions. Tasks may not be submitted as cloud links, such as links to Google Docs, Google Slides, OneDrive, etc. All
supporting documentation, such as screenshots and proof of experience, should be collected in a pdf file and
submitted separately from the main file. For more information, please see Computer System and Technology
Requirements.
You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will
be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The
rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.
Use the "QUOTA Template" attachment in the Supporting Documents to complete Section 1 and Section 2.
Section 1: Academic Research
A. Identify one career role related to your degree plan's focus that you will use as the basis for Section 1 and Section
2.
B. Evaluate the two given sources by completing a QUOTA analysis (qualified, up-to-date, objective, true, and
applicable) for each source to explain why it is credible or not credible.
