Part 1: Draw Your Pre-Image
1. Draw a detailed picture with 10 or more vertices (points).
o It must NOT be a simple shape (like a square or triangle) or a letter.
o Be creative and use your imagination — impress me!
2. Your entire pre-image must be located completely inside ONE quadrant of the coordinate plane.
o You may choose any quadrant.
3. Clearly:
o Mark and label all vertices (A, B, C, etc.).
o Plot and write the ordered pairs for each vertex.
o List the points in your Transformation Summative Activity Chart.
Part 2: Perform the Transformations
You must apply the following transformations:
• ✅ Translation
• ✅ Reflection
• ✅ Rotation
You may complete them in any order.
For each transformation:
1. Clearly write a title (Example: “Translation 3 units right and 2 units up”).
2. List all new ordered pairs accurately.
3. Label all new vertices correctly (A′, B′, C′, etc.).
4. Draw arrows showing the direction of movement.
5. Use color coding for:
o Each image
o The ordered pairs
o The arrows
Accuracy is very important.
