1.1 Introduction
In this fast-forwarding business environment, organizations compete to be in
the top place of their industry. According to Nonaka (1991), “advancing the knowledge
is not a static endeavor” and organizational perspective is like blood in firm’s vein
regarding to achieve a competitive advantage. Knowledge is, in general, one of the
most precious components acquired by any organization. As a result, any leader
considers learning from previous errors in order to prevent repeating them in the future.
The productivity and effectiveness of an organization are determined by the
knowledge gained and distributed among employees and staff through training
programs. Nonaka (1991), argued that knowledge is a way of behaving accepted by
each employee to be a knowledge worker. The development of knowledge and the
generation of value from intellectual property and knowledge-based assets pave the
path for a corporate environment to emerge through teamwork and the achievement of
organizational goals and objectives. Therefore, following assignment analyses Nonaka’s
point of view and determines how it applies to strategic knowledge management and
organizational learning of Nisha Beauty Salon as a small, medium, and micro enterprise
(SMMEs) (Okyere & Amoakoh, 2019) due to participation in competitive social-
economics activities. Further, this paper will critically discuss the concepts and
knowledge management tools and frameworks in strategic development, strategic
marketing, business sustainability, maintaining corporate competitive advantage and
managing corporate change.
1.2 Knowledge management and Organizational Learning
Knowledge is one of the most tactically critical materials for creating,
exchanging, and maintaining competitive advantage (Yeşil et al., 2013, p. 219).
