What makes a good captain? - ANSWERFirst and most important, a good Captain
accepts the terrible responsibility of putting his skills and judgement towards keeping
the souls of others safe. A good
Captain knows the difference between leadership and management. You lead
people, you manage systems. Standby all decisions to keep people safe, but be
ready to compromise and admit when you make a mistake.

The best Captain knows how to delegate authority and to listen to the advice of
those under his/her command. He/she uses these assets to make the best decision
under the circumstances. Be of such mettle that when things go wrong, all eyes are
