(zafirlukast, montelukast, zileuton)
- Block action of leukotrienes, which are potent bronchoconstrictors
- prophylactic treatment/management
Monoclonal antibody to IgE
(Xolair)
- ↓ circulating free IgE levels
Prevents IgE from attaching to mast cells, preventing release of chemical
mediators
