Field of View and Image
Technology
, Field of View :
The total area you can see clearly through a lens at one time, without moving your head
or eyes.
● In eyeglasses: It’s the size of the “clear window” in your lens.
● In Progressive Lenses: The width of the clear zones for distance, intermediate, and
near vision. Outside these zones, vision gets blurry.
Image Stability :
- How steady and unchanged the image looks when you move your head or eyes.
● Good stability: Floor, walls, and objects look fixed in place and don’t warp, tilt, or
shift when you walk or turn your head.
● Poor stability: The world looks wavy, moving, or “swimming” main cause of dizziness
in PALS.
