- NHS Pathways provides safe and effective clinical decision support to specially trained Health
Advisors and Clinicans who provide telephone assessment and advice to the public



What is Directory of Services (DoS)? (2 marks) - Answer - NHS Pathways links to a directory
of services referred to as the DoS. The DoS holds information on health and social care
providers within a locality. This information is provided by the providers themselves; it includes
information about the type of care provided and the hours within which this is delivered



What are the 5 age groups within the system and what age range does each of these cover? (10
marks) - Answer - Neonate: 0- 1 Hour

- Infant: 1 Hour - 12 Months

- Toddler: 1 - 5 Years

- Child: 5- 16 years

- Adult: 16 Years and over
