Example of culture care preservation: Allow the patient to pray.


Culture care accommodation and negotiation: Work collaboratively with patients to find a compromise that respects both
cultural needs and healthcare requirements.
Compromising/accommodating to ensure both cultural and healthcare needs are
met.


Example of culture care accommodation and negotiation: In culture they eat a high sodium diet, but they have hypertension and need to eat
low sodium, so we will allow them to eat the same foods but figure out how to
modify them to lower the sodium levels within. Like using salt alternatives.

practices are harmful to their health.
