, GARDEN
• A botanical garden or botanic garden is a garden with a documented
collection of living plants for the purpose of scientific research,
conservation, display, and education.
• All plants are labelled with their botanical names, family, etc...
• It may contain specialist plant collections such as cacti and
other succulent plants, herb gardens, plants from particular parts of the
world, and so on; there may be glasshouses or shadehouses, again with
special collections such as tropical plants, alpine plants, or other exotic
plants that are not native to that region.

• Thoughtful planning of garden features and ornaments make a
garden beautiful.
• Garden has not only living components (plants) but also many
non-living components /enrichment items.
, I. LIVING COMPONENTS
1. Lawn
• Lawn is a natural green carpet of a garden. It is a ground cover made
of perennial fine grass which is maintained by continuous and close
mowing.
• Eg:
a. Bermuda grass/Dhoob grass/Haryali grass – Cynodon dactylon
b. Korean grass – Zoysia japonica
c. Blue grass – Poa annua
