cities do to global warming and drought.

Economics - ANSWER-colonization=access to oil. Stable govt and oil so Saudi
Arabia is the number 1 partner of the US, even though they are the most aggressive
country in the middle east. Young people in Iran are pushing the hardest for
democracy in their country= conflict is over social classes

, Terrorism - ANSWER-has been around since humans have been in conflict. It
creates a fear mechanism to control a population. The idea is to control peoples lives
through movement

Repressive Terrorism - ANSWER-most deadly form of terrorism.= govt directed
terrorism towards its own people=holocaust= Germans to Jews = its a form of social
control.

State sponsored terrorism - ANSWER-a particular govt helps fund another govt to
carry out revolutionary terrorism.

International terrorism - ANSWER-groups/cells in one country that attack another
country. They don't have a group following or follower, act on their own based on
their ideology. Most terrorist get turned in by their own race (group) of people.

soft target - ANSWER-people who are targets that don't have a defense mechanism
(like a gun) to protect themselves. Like the planned parenthood shooting

War - ANSWER-organized conflicts carried out from one nation state to another
nation state. The U.S. is the #1 country for military resources.
Civil War #1 major war of US= union=110,000 soldiers died, 250,000 civilian deaths
and 275,000 injured. on the south= 75,000 soldiers died, 124,000 civilian deaths and
140,000 injured. 750,000 killed out of 31 million of the population. During the civil war
there was no field hospitals. The injured had to travel for miles to get help. This
caused a lot of deaths and gain green for amputations. There was no keeping track
of everyone that died and there are several graves with unknown. World war II came
in second, then Vietnam war and Iraq war. Lower deaths in current war because of
body armor and medical technologies.

#1 weapon of choice - ANSWER-is IUD=land mines. they are not designed to kill but
to maim a person. There are many more men coming back alive today, but they
have loss of limbs instead of death or traumatic brain injuries

war as a social problem - ANSWER-#1 reason= loss of life #2 physical and
Psychological injuries. WWI was shell shock, WWII combat fatigue and Vietnam
started the now PTSD. veterans with PTSD from war is a pathological issue= taking
of another person's life, because they are forced to kill another human being. People
are not trained to kill others except during a war.

Injuries/psychological/physical - ANSWER-environmental destruction= destruction of
resources. Food supply, crops, animals, rivers, water and trees to destroy the
enemy.

Economic Cost of War/Military - ANSWER-there are over 1000 military bases in 130
different countries. Us is the #1 military expense with $600 Billion a year. which is
$37% of the US budget. China follows in 2nd place with only $145 Bill spent. $17
Billion alone in retired military officers pensions which is more than is spent on
education.
