Based on the case data presented, it is evident that the case was reassigned on 08 /
15/2014. Erstwhile to the transfer, the agency that was in charge of the case had conducted an
effective investigation. The investigation was majorly done through intelligence-gathering
methods. The investigation's findings highlighted that the suspect indispensable substances that
could be used in the process of making a Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).
Based on the report presented on the investigation the suspect had constructed a WMD that
he intended to use and cause destruction at the apartment he currently living in which is located
at Minneapolis, MN. The report presented by the agency revealed that the suspect had about ten
55- gallon casks that were believed to be containing ammonium nitrate as well as a diesel energy
oil. The material was stored at his house and an extensive report showed that the content in the
suspect’s custody would blowup about ten city blocks.
In addition, the investigation showed that from 01/ , the suspect was witnessed
purchasing explosive materials from local hardware stores. The surveillance evidence was
presented via CCTV footages from the jurisdiction (Hess, Orthmann, & Cho, 2016). Based on
the investigation report and local witness from the local hardware, the suspect acquired the
materials in a span of three months. However, from the beginning of 02/16/2014, the suspect
has been said to acquire chemicals from ABC chemicals plant. The report show that the suspect
was an official employer of the plant and thus had aligned strategy to procure the materials.
The process of identifying criminal activity or even a terrorist’s act is difficult due to the fact that
