,What is ambiguous
language?
More than one
interpretation or meaning
for an expression or a set
of words.
Two types:
1. Structural
2. Lexical
, Structural ambiguity
• Happens when a sentence could have multiple
meanings.
• Due to the way words are arranged in that
sentence.
Example:
Nicole saw the people with binoculars.
Possible interpretations:
Nicole saw some people with the binoculars.
Nicole saw people holding binoculars.
