"Stay-Putters")
Mechanism: Concentration is equal to body cells. No fluid
shift occurs.
● Common Fluids: 0.9% Normal Saline (NS), Lactated
Ringer’s (LR), D5W (in the bag).
● Key Uses: General Dehydration, Acute Blood Loss,
Resuscitation, Surgery.
● ⚠️ VIP Nursing Alert: Always monitor for Fluid Volume
Overload. Check for lung crackles, bounding pulses, and
edema.
