Cessation of Efforts
The following allow for stopping resuscitation in the field -

traumatic, not pregnant, not hypothermic
2) scene must be safe and situation appropriate
3) 20 minutes of full ACLS must be performed
4) must be successful advanced airway placement

5) no return of pulse, spontaneous respirations, eye opening, motor
response, or improvement in neurologic state
6) if all of the above exist police/M.E. should be called to scene
7) Law Enforcement/M.E. should remain on scene until body is

Termination of Resuscitation Criteria
if ANY of these 5 are present then resuscitation cannot be
terminated in the field.
If NONE are present, resuscitation can be terminated in conjunction
with "cessation of efforts" circumstances -
correct answer ✅1) Arrest witnessed by McKinney FD personnel
2) bystander witnessed the arrest
3) bystander CPR performed
4) a shock was delivered
5) there was a return of ROSC
