the standpipe or sprinkler system. empty tank, a break or major
leak in the system water piping, inoperative or shut water
supply valve, defective ire department connections, constructed
related shut downs affecting more than 1 FLOOR, or complete
or partial shut downs.
Minor Defects Observed - ANS -Shall immediately report such a
condition to the owner of the building and to the FDNY Borough
Dispatcher. 30 DAYS TO CORRECT
, Identifying OOS Systems Using Disc/Tags - ANS -Impairment
coordinators/building owners shall ensure the placement of
theses tags by MFSPC's or MLP(as restricted) or FDNY units. For
a unplanned out of service, a disc white or blue shall be placed
at all effected fir department connections.
Tag Requirements - ANS -A Master Fire Suppression Piping
Contractor, Class A or B, or master plumber shall be required to
post tags at the main control valve and at any closed sectional
valves serving areas affected.
System Fully Out of Service - ANS -Has a (WHITE) disc 8 to 9
inches in diameter on all affected fire department connections.
A (RED) a Tag shall be placed at the main control valve.
System Partialy Out of Service - ANS -Place a Blue disk 8 to 9
inches in diameter on all affected fire department connections.
RED tag shall be placed at the main control valve.
ONLY FDNY, OWNER, MFSPC, or MLP - ANS -May Place a WHITE
or Blue disc on a system.
