Purulent, whitehead
Eg. Acne, impetigo
Papule < 1 cm
Solid, elevated, circumscribed, thickening
of the epidermis
Eg. Nevus (elevated moles), warts
Plaque Papules that join together to become
wider than 1 cm
Eg. Psoriasis
Wheal Superficial, raised, comes and goes,
erythemic, irregular shape
Eg. Mosquito bite, allergic reaction
Uticaria (Hives) Wheals that coalesce (join)
May be pruritic (itchy)
