Individual Performance for TMA 02
From my experience on this TMA is a negative one to which feel has affected on our
performance. I can state there was not any positive contributions by this group. As
my personal style is to organise, plan and then execute. I have planned and tried my
best to move the TMA on in a productive way, but others have been unnecessarily
delaying.
I wanted to get involved in people ideas and develop, but it seems that the rest
wanted to carried all the way through this TMA. I think that I was only members of
the submit any work on OpenStudio, as I want to share my idea with my peers and
collaborate. But it seemed that there was one who wanted to the leader and had to
remind her that we are a team. However, the issue of the Laura’s poor
interpersonal skills was becoming a stressor and was becoming unbearable. The
group members where causing chaos, which is not how I prefer to work. So,
ultimately had to take the burden of making decisions and follow the brief set out in
the TMA02.
As in my personality that when a task needs completing, I can become overly
assertive, which served me well in this instance, as there was a lot of digression from
other members. However, it seems that my patience was tested when making
very poor comparisons. Was even more angered when she was accusing me of
being rude, just because I was asking for her segment to conclude this TMA. It had
prompted me to contact the tutor Tamsin Morris, on three occasions.
Work that I was doing Laura would do the same and pass it off as her work or idea.
She had contributed very little making out she was the leader of the group. She
would do the work that I had, ask questions that already been asked. I have found
her flippancy over the TMA as very annoying. Even, been this person was baiting
me all the time by this member prompted myself to speak with someone more
senior in Student Support. It has not been a pleasure but a long struggle. I feel that
if I had been in a different group these issues.
With the absence of Katherine (who seemed to be levelheaded), it meant that the
was no real direction. I was the only producing ideas, I was the only one trying to
move the group along. It seems even at this late stage writing this personal
feedback that I am interested in this.
Conclusion
, It seems that the personality of Laura was bombastic. And in my opinion, this was
becoming increasing frustrating. I think that she had spent more time telling
everyone how she is a fee earner, she runs a family department (as an unqualified
paralegal) (I did not think that this was the case as the SRA would have something to
say about that) and she has friends that are barristers who are apparently doing her
segment for her. When writing this it was difficult and she was being advised not
by myself, but two other members to stop arguing but has goes off on a tangent.
My experience was tainted by the conduct of this person. Laura behaviour was
severely unprofessional and the effect this has had is very concerning.
