Force and laws of motion
1. The pull or push of an object.
2. Symbol = F.
3. S.I unit = Newton (N).
4. It is a vector quantity.
5. Irrespective to the effect.
6. Weight of body a force.
7. Force can be applied on any object from both internal and external sides.
Effects of force
1. Force can make stationary in rest or motion.
2. Force can change the direction of any moving object.
3. Force can change the speed of a object.
4. Force can change the shape and size of the object.
Note: there are countless types of forces.
1. Gravitational.
2. Electromagnetic.
3. Nuclear.
Magnitude of force
1. Effect of force depends on magnitude.
2. If force applied on any object in same direction then that the force will be added.
3. If force is applied on any object in opposite then that time force will be subtracted.
Net force / resultant force:- if two or more than force are applied on any object then the
algebraic sum of all forces is equal to the N.F or R.F .
There are mainly two types of forces
Uniform forces Non uniform force
When two equally magnitude forces applied on When more than force with unequal
object from opposite direction. magnitude applied on object from opposite
directions is called Non-uniform force
Hey net force always be zero, F net = 0. Here net force will never be zero Fnet≠0.
It is compulsory that two or more than a force In this , at least one force applied on object.
applied on object from opposite direction.
In this, object will be in rest or in uniform motion. Due to this type of force if object is rest then
it will be motion or if object in motion then
it will be rest.
