Explain Extraordinary Action to Protect the Public:
New process under PGA, allows the AIBC to take immediate action to protect the public when
information is received that there is a risk to public safety.
What is the Reserved Practice?

the Reserved Practice can only be carried out by an Architect or under the direct supervision of
an Architect.
How is it determined whether or not an Architect is required for a project?
The PGA now directly ties this to the BCBC and building occupancy.
What is the purpose of the AIBC Bylaws?
Sets the specific standards and procedures that apply to the AIBC and its Registrants.

Confidential: Architectural fee, project budget

Yes, and is therefore not the responsibility of the Architect. They do however have a
responsibility to report any safety issues they observe.
