CIVIC AND GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT/DIVERSITY/WORLDVIEW REFLECTION

A worldview shapes who we are. As a Liberty student, I have a Biblical worldview. A
Biblical worldview is “a framework of beliefs that dictate how you act and interact in the world”
(Ellis, 2019, p. 19-a). When possessing a Biblical worldview, Christians look at God’s Word as
the ultimate authority. As Christians we have a purpose in life to spread God’s Word. To be
examples of our Father and give him all the glory. Matthew 5:14 reads, “Ye are the light of the
world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid” (KJV). That is our worldview.
There are many different ways to strengthen our Biblical worldview. I feel that
strengthening our understanding of God’s Word should be one of the first steps. Then we can
share God's Word inside and outside of the classroom. Liberty University provides many
opportunities to minister, but you don’t have to be across the world to share the Gospel. Start by
telling a classmate, friend, or neighbor. You could be the only person in that individual's life that
has the power to show and teach them about God’s love, kindness, and mercy.
In this assignment we are asked to answer two questions, what are some of our goals in
life and how does having a Biblical worldview affect these goals? I started Cecil Community
College at 15 -- my first public school experience. After many prayers, I asked God to only
allow me to pass the accuplacer test if He knew I was ready to minister to everyone at my school.
Three days later, I passed! I am now 16 years old. I have graduated high school, worked
towards my AA degree at Cecil, and am now on track to graduate with my bachelors degree in
Pre-Law by the age of 18. The summer I turn 18, I will be in Washington D.C. interning for the
FBI; and that following fall I will start Law school at Liberty University. Having this brief
