Understanding Business Law is an important skill to have in the present and future
of anybody, not just people in the law profession. One of the most recent things that has
transformed my viewing of the world around me is learning the results of the cases we have
gone over in class. The bakery case in particular caught my appeal due to the circumstances
around the religious beliefs. Learning about this case and the law behind it has given me a new
view on future conflicts I may run into. Before this class I would have just assumed right away
that the bakery company didn’t do anything wrong by turning them down, but then I realized
there is law behind the customers complaint that made it valid. The bakery company clearly

field of law, this was an important case that went all the way to the Supreme Court. This course
has also teached me biblical principles that involves business law. A clear example of this is in
Exodus 21 when
the owner of an ox could have been in trouble when his ox hurt someone, but only if the ox
was known to be dangerous (Bible). This reflects the protection of life and knowing the law
would result in the outcome of this situation

had to ask her a few questions regarding my homework because I didn’t know the answer of
them, but she did because of her line of work. I told her if she needs any advice on decisions
regarding cases she deals with, she can ask me as a test to see if I could implement anything
I’ve learned from this course. She deals with a lot of civil court cases, which is one of the
chapters I found to be
