Summary
China has been that largest importer of soybeans from the US for over a decade, and
the demand is still rising. This is due to the recent end of the trade war with China and tariffs
being lifted away that has escalated the demand for soybeans. The main reason why China
imports many soybeans is because China suffers from unfavorable weather conditions and
many pests that hurt the growth of these crops. Many people in China use soybeans to make
soybean meal, which is a primary ingredient for animal feed. This export plan aims to target
the increasing demand for soybeans, specifically Non-GMO, because they are harder to find
and produce. Non- GMO soybeans aren’t used with fertilizer and pesticides that make them
healthier and safer to other soybeans. This is untouched niche in an ever-increasing market of
the biggest importer of soybeans from the US. The plan is to export these soybeans to China
and introduce them to the farmers who use them as feed to their animals. This shows the
farmers why it’s important to have Non-GMO soybeans instead of ones made with fertilizers
and pesticides. The people and farmers in China will eventually start buying these soybeans
at a record pace instead of others.
