The Nevada Secretary of State Notary Exam evaluates knowledge of
Nevada notary public laws, duties, and proper notarial procedures.
The exam coverage includes qualifications for becoming a notary,
commission requirements, and legal responsibilities of a Nevada
notary public. It also assesses understanding of notarial acts such as
acknowledgments, jurats, oaths and affirmations, and copy
certifications. Additional areas include identification requirements,
verifying signer willingness and awareness, preventing fraud, and
handling refusals to notarize.
