organization that draws up the guidelines for feeding dogs and cats
Breeders
Breeding dogs means more than producing puppies.
When choosing the parent animals, attentithon must be paid to the
prevention of hereditary disorders and sometimes to the character of
the parent animals
Small puppies must receive proper medical care and they must be
fed in a responsible manner
The Dutch Kennel Club: carries the studbook for pedigree dogs in the
Netherlands
Veterinary practice and animal ambulance
4.400 practicing veterinarians in the Netherlands (1930 focus solely
on companion animals)
45% solely deal with companion animals, and 42% work in mixed
practice (752 and 274 practices)
There are about 90 animal ambulances for animals, mostly operating
through volunteers
