Networking with peers in the field of nursing is an essential aspect that is facilitated by
social media platforms suited for nurses only. The sites vary with the intent like "The nurse
Company ": an open forum for interaction while "Ultimate nurse" is suited for novices accessing
data concerning technical developments in their field by following threads like “RN versus LPN
versus BSN." Activities of nurses in such forums are subject to limitations stipulated by Human
Insurance Portability, and Accountability Act (HIPAA) on the concession of the American
Nurses Association (ANA) highlighted in (NCSBN) copy (2018). They are required to behave in
a manner that upholds standards both in their personal lives and working environments. This
paper takes a look at how nurses ought to appropriately use social media platforms. It also
majors on how they should display professionalism by upholding standards of conduct within the
