De Quervains tenosynovitis is caused by an inflammation of
the tendon and its sheath, which is located at the base of
the thumb. The screening test is finkelsteins , which is
positive if there is pain and tenderness o the wrist(thumb
sign) upon ulnar deviation(abductor pollicis longus and
extensore pollicis brevis tendons)
