Acknowledge - greeting.

SKAHI:
Signs - Assess the outside of the room for signs.
Knock - Before entering the room.
Assess - Patient's surrounding.
Hand Hygiene - Hand sanitizer or wash your hands.
Identify - Ensure correct patient by verifying two patient identifiers.

given, it is within the scope of practice to deliver blood samples to the lab. You may accept the

ANSWERS-Call the charge nurse of the department they are shifting in 15 minutes after they are
scheduled to shift. Email the Department Coordinator with make-up shift date and time.
