Every vessel shall at all time maintain a proper lookout by sight and hearing as well as
by all available means appropriate in the prevailing circumstances and conditions so as
to make a full appraisal of the situation and of the risk of collision.

✔✔Rule 7 - ✔✔Risk of Collision:
Every vessel shall use all available means appropriate to the prevailing circumstances
and conditions to determine if risk of collision exists. If you have any doubt such risk
shall be deemed to exist. Assumptions shall not be made on scanty infromation or
scanty radar information.
✔✔Rule 8 - ✔✔Actions to Avoid Collision:
Any action taken to avoid collision shall be postive and made in ample time. Any
alteration of course or speed shall be large enough to be apparent to the other vessel,
small alterations should be avoided. If necessary for mor time shall slacken her speed,
take all way off or reverse.
✔✔Rule 13 - ✔✔Overtaking:
Any vessel overtaking shall keep out the way of the vessel being overtaken. Shall be
deemed overtaking when a vessel is approaching greated than 22.5 degrees abaft the
beam or at night see only the stern light. When in doubt of overtaking another, she shall
assume that this is the case and avoid making it a crossing situation.
