● RUB MAGNESIUM RIBBON WITH SANDPAPER TO
REMOVE A LAYER CALLED "MAGNESIUM OXIDE", WHICH
IS FORMED BY SLOW REACTION OF OXYGEN (PRESENT IN
AIR) WITH MAGNESIUM RIBBON.
● NOW HOLD THE RIBBON WITH THE HELP OF PAIR OF
TONGS AND BURN IT FROM THE BURNER.
● DURING BURNING , MAGNESIUM RIBBON BURNS WITH
A "DAZZLING WHITE FLAME".
● NOW COLLECT THE ASH SO FORMED IN A WATCH
GLASS.
● THE ASH IS A "WHITE POWDER" WHICH IS KNOWN
AS "MAGNESIUM OXIDE".

▪︎IN TEST TUBE 1 TAKE THE SOLUTION OF LEAD NITRATE
▪︎ IN TEST TUBE 2 TAKE ANOTHER SOLUTION OF
POTASSIUM IODIDE
● NOW IN TEST TUBE 1 ADD THE SOLUTION OF TEST
TUBE 2 I.E ADD THE SOLUTION OF "POTASSIUM IODIDE"
IN THE SOLUTION OF "LEAD NITRATE".
