1/59
, Exam 2 Escape Room for N4581
The first drug given for all pulseless (mostly dead) rhythms is: * 1/1
Norepinephrine
Epinephrine
Atropine
Amiodarone
Feedback
Epinephrine is for all pulseless rhythms. Norepinephrine is for low blood pressure.
Adenosine is for a fast narrow QRS complex tachycardia. Atropine is for slow rhythms.
, Exam 2 Escape Room for N4581
A patient is complaining of dizziness, SOB and has a BP of 80/45 with the *1/1
rhythm below. You anticipate which of the following first?
Amiodarone
Adenosine
Epinephrine
Defibrillation
Feedback
This is ventricular tachycardia with a pulse. The intervention to try to stop this dysrhythmia
would be amiodarone 150 mg slow IV. Epinephrine is for a pulseless rhythm. Adenosine is for
a fast narrow QRS complex tachycardia. This client has a pulse so we do not want to
defibrillate.
3/59
, Exam 2 Escape Room for N4581
The priority intervention for this rhythm would be? * 1/1
Defibrillation
Cardioversion
Adenosine
Amiodarone
Feedback
This is ventricular fibrillation. The only intervention that will convert this rhythm is
defibrillation. After defibrillation and two minutes of CPR if still in this rhythm, we
defibrillate again and give epinephrine. After two more minutes of CPR if still in this
rhythm, we defibrillate again and give amiodarone.
