social group share many similarities
Belgium is a small country in Europe, which shares its borders with France,
Netherlands, Luxemburg and Germany.
The total population of Belgium is 1 crore [ half the population of Haryana]
Out of the total population
• 59% population lives in Flemish region and speaks Dutch
• 40% population lives in Wallonia region and speaks French
• 1% people speaks German

In capital city Brussels
• 80% population speaks French
• 20% population speaks Dutch
Thus, majority Dutch speaking in the country was a minority in the capital city
Brussels [and vice – versa for French]
ETHNIC COMPOSITION OF SRI LANKA
Sri Lanka has a total population of 2 crores [ same as that of Haryana]
Being located in South Asia, it also has a great diversity
Out of the total population of Sri Lanka
• 74% people speaks Sinhala and are Buddhists
• 18% speaks Tamils and are Muslims or Hindus
• 18% Tamils [ 13% Sri Lankan Tamils and 5% Indian Tamils]
