The Silence Behind Room 13

A Psychological Thriller Novel

Summary

When journalist Sara Malik moves into an old apartment building in Lahore after a painful
divorce, she hopes for a quiet new beginning. But strange sounds from Room 13 begin
haunting her nights — whispers through the walls, footsteps at impossible hours, and a
woman’s cry that no one else seems to hear.

The problem is… Room 13 has supposedly been empty for twenty years.

As Sara investigates the building’s dark history, she uncovers disturbing secrets, missing
residents, hidden recordings, and a murder nobody was meant to remember. But the deeper
she goes, the more her own mind begins to betray her.

Is someone watching her?
Is the building hiding a killer?
Or is Sara slowly losing her sanity?

, A chilling psychological thriller filled with suspense, paranoia, shocking twists, and a
terrifying ending readers will never forget.

Chapter 1 — The Apartment

Rain covered the streets of Lahore like a dark curtain as Sara Malik stood outside the old
apartment building, holding two heavy suitcases and regretting every decision that had
brought her there.

The building looked abandoned.

Cracked walls. Rusted balconies. Flickering lights.

A broken sign hanging above the entrance read:

NOOR RESIDENCY

The old landlord opened the door slowly.

“You’re Miss Sara?” he asked.

“Yes.”

He studied her face for a moment too long.

“You’ll be staying in apartment 12. Top floor.”
