This is a 28-year-old patient who presents today
expressing anxiety over the fact that his father was just
diagnosed with Crohn's disease. His father is 60 years old
and has had GI problems for many years. The patient says
that he is experiencing some of the same problems his
father had prior to this diagnosis, and he would like a
complete physical exam to rule out Crohn's disease. A
complete physical was performed with no abnormal
findings.
Case 2 Z48.02
While traveling out of state, Joan was injured after a fall
down six concrete steps. She went to the emergency
room at the local hospital and received 13 sutures in her
left thigh. Joan now presents to her PCP, who will remove
the sutures. After exam of the area, which was without
infection, redness, or oozing, the stitches were
successfully removed.
