We are tasked with also discussing the importance of understanding the œwalking map as it relates to the value chain and strategy. A value chain is a model where an organization adds value to raw material to give it purpose and then sells it to the end-user. This model divides production into five categories. As the organization works through the categories there are hopes to maximize and improve the final product and obtaining a competitive edge. The ultimate goal is to spend the least amount of money to make the most profit. In health care, the term value can be very subjective and could be different for everyone. An administrator will put a value on certain things, mostly de
