1. Identify the type of conformity demonstrated in each of the following scenarios. For each

scenario, write the correct type of conformity in the space provided. (3)


(a) A person starts wearing glasses without prescription lenses because many of their friends are

doing it, even though they do not need them for vision correction.




(b) After moving to a new country, an individual adopts the local customs and truly believes in

their value, incorporating them into their daily life.




(c) During a meeting, an employee agrees with a manager's incorrect conclusion on a project issue

to avoid conflict, even though they believe the manager is wrong.




2. Name one psychological theory that explains conformity. (1)




3. In the military, a soldier follows orders without question, displaying high levels of obedience and

respect for hierarchy.


How can the authoritarian personality theory account for such behaviour? Mention one specific

in fashion.


By the end of the school year, upcycled fashion becomes a prominent trend at Greenwood School.



Using Greenwood School as a case study, evaluate the effectiveness of minority influence in altering
