FRSC1011 Introduction to Crime Scene Investigation
Summer 2023 Final Exam
Due Wednesday June 14th 2023 at 11:59 pm
This is the final exam for the course. You are to download it, save it as
[lastname_firstname_exam] and answer the questions in the boxes provided.
Remember to put your name on the exam paper itself.
You must upload your document as a PDF to Blackboard by Wednesday June 14th, 2023
at midnight.
Do not email your exam document; submit it to the appropriate dropbox on Blackboard.
You only need to answer 4 of the questions. For the questions you choose not to
answer, leave the answer box blank. If you answer more than 4 questions, only the first 4
questions answered will be graded.
Each question answer should be 200-400 words single-spaced, 12pt Times New
Roman font, and each response should be on its own page in the document. Type your
answers in the boxes. Do not write answers in by hand.
Answers to questions are to be typed in complete sentences. When formulating your
responses to different questions, do not use the same points twice and ensure that your
answers are varied. I will consider deducting marks for spelling, grammar and
composition should there be multiple errors in the submission. Take your time when
structuring your answers and review them prior to submitting for marking.
Your answers will not require references. Feel free to indicate a chapter or lecture you are
drawing upon for your answer, but you do not need to be more specific than that.
Draw upon the chapters in the textbook and lectures for facts and information to include
in your answers. Some of the questions may require you to use more than one chapter to
support your answer.
Each student's exam will be assessed by SafeAssign for plagiarism and unauthorized
collaboration. Please ensure that all answers are your own work
Each question is worth 10 marks, for a total of 40 marks. The exam is worth 30% of
your final grade.
Please note that, as per SAS regulations, there are no extra-time accommodations for take
home exams. I have taken this into consideration when setting the timeline and structure
of the exam.
If you have other accommodations that you wish to discuss, please contact me
() as soon as possible.
