make your best guess and move on. Do not spend too much time on any single question.
Use only the provided answer sheet for marking your responses. Ensure that your answers are clearly
indicated and correspond to the correct question number.
Test Overview & Timing Guide
This practice test reflects the structure of the official ACT, which consists of four main sections:
English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science, with an optional Writing section.
You should complete the test under timed conditions to simulate real exam performance. Suggested
timing is as follows:
English: 45 minutes
Mathematics: 60 minutes
Reading: 35 minutes
Science: 35 minutes
Writing (optional): 40 minutes
Total testing time (without Writing): approximately 2 hours and 55 minutes
Work efficiently and pace yourself carefully. Each section is designed to assess both accuracy and
speed.
Answer Sheet Guidelines
Mark your answers clearly and consistently on the answer sheet provided. Use a dark pencil or pen as
instructed. Only one answer should be selected per question unless otherwise specified.
If you wish to change an answer, completely erase or clearly cross out the previous response before
marking your final choice.
Do not write any stray marks on the answer sheet, as this may affect scoring accuracy. Ensure that
your answers align correctly with the corresponding question numbers.
Double-check your answers if time allows before submitting each section.
