Introduction

This video script addresses the central question posed in PED3701 Assignment 3: “How do I
think and learn, and how can I improve it using psychology?” The assignment draws on three
interconnected learning units: Learning Unit 1 (levels and conditions of learning), Learning
Unit 2 (development and influencing factors), and Learning Unit 3 (cognitive development
theories). Vygotsky’s (1978) sociocultural theory serves as the chosen theoretical lens through
which my learning process as an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) student is examined, ap-
plied, and critically reflected upon. The four components of the video are presented below in a
question-and-answer format that mirrors the structure of the spoken recording.
