4. Fertilization
Fusion of sperm and ovum generally occurs in the ampullary-isthmic junction of the fallopian tube.
5. Embryonic Development
Zygote → Cleavage → Morula → Blastocyst → Implantation → Embryo development.
6. Pregnancy & Parturition
Pregnancy lasts about 280 days. Hormonal changes support fetal growth and childbirth.
7. Lactation
Milk production occurs in mammary glands and provides nutrition and immunity to the newborn.
8. Reproductive Health
Family planning, contraception, infertility management and prevention of sexually transmitted
infections.
