To enhance communication, resource sharing, and overall network efficiency, this plan suggests
establishing a Local Area Network (LAN) throughout the campus using star and tree topologies.
Through high-speed Ethernet and fiber-optic cabling, the proposed network will link computers,
printers, scanners, and servers, providing staff and students with dependable and secure access to
shared resources. The system will offer quick data transfer, centralized user administration,
improved security, and regulated internet access by utilizing switches, routers, and a centralized
server running Windows Server. While the tree topology will connect several buildings and
ensure scalability as the campus expands, the star topology will be utilized within individual
buildings for simple management and fault isolation. Despite the initial setup costs, the network
will save money over time by eliminating redundant equipment, enhancing teamwork,
facilitating online education, and making maintenance and future growth easier.
