— English Essay —
1. Introduction
The railways that measure the distances of the country, the aeroplane that soars above the
mountains, the radio and television that bring entertainment and news right into our homes, and
the telephone that carries our voice from Kolkata to Jaipur and from Marwad to New York in an
instant — all of these are the modern inventions of science. Science has truly transformed the
way we live and experience the world around us.
2. Widespread Presence
Today there is no corner of life that science has not touched. There is no field, no domain, no
aspect of daily existence where the influence of science is absent. Through its countless
inventions, science has made it possible for human beings to travel great distances,
communicate across the world, and accomplish tasks that once seemed impossible. The reach
of science is truly universal and all-encompassing.
3. Benefits of Science
Science has blessed humanity with railways, motor cars, ships, aeroplanes, helicopters and
countless other means of transport that have made the world a much smaller place. Distances
that once took months to cover can now be covered in hours. Through radio, television,
telephone and the internet, we can communicate with anyone in the world within seconds.
Science has also given us medicines, hospitals, and medical technology that have saved millions
of lives and greatly increased the average human lifespan.
