Introduction
Dianrong is a company that wants to expand its business operations when it comes to the
matter concerning blockchain lending but in my own opinion, I believe that the main thing that
this company should first focus on is internet security and the main reason for this is because the
business of the company will mainly be performed on the internet and thus this means that with a
proper security system the company might not achieve its goals in the long run.
Question One
The main tradeoffs that Dianrong is facing are the fact that the management wants to
expand the company and the main way for it to achieve this is by acquiring certain assets such as
Shanghai-based Quark just as a way to diversify the operation of the company when it comes to
becoming the giant on matters concerning blockchain lending in China and Asia as a whole
(Ande et al., 2020). As we can see from this, it is clear that there are two things that this
company needs to achieve as a way of becoming the giant in the lending world which includes
the construction of a blockchain lending system and the acquisition of the mentioned assets.
Most definitely, this will not be an easy thing to achieve and thus this means that the
management of this company needs to play its card well to make the operations of this project
successful. I believe the most effective way to prioritize the objectives of the company is by first
working on a project at a time and later on once every project has been worked on, they can all
be combined to make the entire bigger project.
Soul Htite should first establish the blockchain lending system and later on, once it has
been established successfully, he can now think of acquiring those assets intended to expand the
company when it comes to matters concerning blockchain lending in Asia (Ande et al., 2020).
