- Pioneer Frederick taylor focused o job performance.
- He wanted to figure out how to do someone job with less time or less motion
- He would time production with a operation slip
Human relations management:
- Elton mayo found that when you treat your employees with recognition the production
increases.
o He made the light theory that people work better in brighter lightning
- Also found that group dynamics influences their job performance
- Hawthorne affect takes place when people are being studied they act different (ex, lighting
experiment)
- Elton concluded that there are many things that influence work performance such as
motivation, recognition etc…
