Abstract
The word 'Emotional Intelligence,' coined by psychologists Mayer and Salovey (1990),
refers to one's ability to correctly interpret, process, and control emotional information, both
within oneself and in others, and to use this information to direct one's own thoughts and
behavior, as well as to influence others'. Emotional intelligence, or EQ, is an ability that is
becoming highly valuable in the workplace. Many people may be perplexed as to why relational
maturity is becoming increasingly important for colleagues in today's workplace. Emotional
intelligence isn't a fad, to put it that way. Employees with emotional intelligence have a direct
impact on the bottom line, according to statistics gathered by major corporations. In particular,
businesses with high levels of emotional intelligence experience significant improvements in
overall revenue and efficiency. Developing your EQ skills is critical to your career performance
in today's dynamic workplace (Desti & Shanthi, 2015).
The findings of a self-evaluation of Emotional Intelligence are analyzed in this article
(EI). The aim of the survey was to determine my emotional intelligence. I was asked to choose
the answer that best describes the degree to which I agree or disagree with each of the statements
mentioned in the self-assessment. I was asked to read the feedback after performing the self-
assessment, which demonstrates how to view my results and consider my ranking. Emotional
Intelligence is explored in this article, as well as a rundown of my self-assessment findings. In
addition, the paper has a clear outline for how I will strengthen my vulnerable points.
