Fire Prevention Activities
In every company, it is a requirement that there should be a fire prevention department
since fire accidents can occur at any time. To prevent property loss, the fire department is
responsible for ensuring they are well equipped and ready to handle fire accidents in case they
occur (Ramachandran et al., 2017). The fire department needs to be well equipped with fire
extinguishers and fire blankets used in fire outbreaks. A fire marshal heads the department and
consists of other firefighter employees who work in shifts, a fire prevention captain, and captains
in charge of firefighters. Some work during the day and others during the night. Firefighters are

The fire department is responsible for conducting inspections of fire extinguishers and
ensuring that all the organization departments are equipped with working fire extinguishers to be

also responsible for educating the organizations on preventing the spread of fire if it happens
before the fire fighting team gets into the scene. They also inform the employees on how to void

organization.
The fire department needs to conduct frequent inspections because it helps in mitigating
