CONSIDERATIONS Indications Indications for transfusion include symptomatic anemia (causing shortness of breath, dizziness, congestive heart failure, and decreased exercise tolerance), acute sickle cell crisis, and acute blood loss of more than 30 percent of blood volume. Outcomes/Evaluation Increased lab values Resolution of thrombocytopenia, or anemia.Acute kidney failure Anemia Lung problems (pulmonary edema) Shock Febrile reactions Hemolysis Allergic reactions sepsis Monitor VS Monitor labs Actual administration of the blood product and monitoring of the patient during its administration but they also need to efficiently identify and manage any potential transfusion reactions ACTIVE LEARNING TEMPLATES
