Of those 50 employees, there are 5 managers and 3 employees in supportive roles. Due to recent growth of Smith and Sons, they have decided to implement a new software to cover their payroll and human resources functions. To fully understand the development needs throughout the business, Smith and Sons has requested a meeting with the training manager to discuss the department’s training requirements. To give the upcoming meeting structure, the training manager has been asked to complete a series of questions in the training analysis form prior to the session. The following answers were relayed by the training manager. What is your training problem statement or objective? The objective is to smoothly transition employees into a new payroll and human resources software system. All employees will use this software for timekeeping, managers and support staff will use this for payroll approval and other HR functions, such as, employee personal information and benefits enrollment. What skills and knowledge are required to perform the work? Employees must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate the graphical user interface as well as be proficient in programs including the Microsoft suite and internet browsers.
