Airbnb
In just a few short years, Airbnb has become an ideal replacement for expensive hotel
accommodations. Its innovative business model has amassed a huge customer base
and continues to do so. However, to ensure a successful future for the brand, it should
approach customer-centric approaches which hold an ethical high ground. Therefore,
some recommendations for the same are mentioned below:
The brand should ensure that each one of its franchise holders ensures the best
health and hygiene practices for its consumers. This is a basic necessity of the
hospitality industry but many service providers may skip this aspect which
might turn out to be problematic for the visitors (Wei & Batra, 2021).
Therefore, random quality checks from the management should be
incorporated regularly.
Customer-centric brands tend to have a better chance of having a long-term
future in the industry (Iyer & Jarvis, 2019). Therefore, Airbnb should take this
approach and frame an active customer support team that addresses the
concerns of the visitors immediately.
Airbnb should ensure that its operators are committed to total confidentiality
in terms of the individuals visiting and renting their spaces. Doing so forms a
bond of trust between the franchise and the consumers which later translates
into brand loyalty.
